Big Ben- London- watercolor art

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London and often extended to refer to the clock and the clock tower.

I wanted to do a series on world wonder. A picture speaks more than an article. But I thought why not paint it? that is how I came up with this painting.

Did you know The 15-minute chimes on the most famous tourist attraction of UK has lyrics: "All through this hour / Lord be my guide / And by Thy power / No foot shall slide." The tower is leaning much like the leaning tower of Pisa

Cycle on a Washing Machine - sharetheload

Laundry, folding the cloths, Ironing them and placing them in the shelf has always been "Considered" a Womens Job? Well I think the situation is changing Slowly. I have seen so many people including my Dad helping my mom in all of the above said activities.

Things have improved greatly because of the entry of Washing Machine in every household and some amazing detergents like Ariel which makes the work of laundry a child's task.

Things were different initially. There was no washing machine, no proper detergent powder and women were not working. Laundry was a huge task and a lot of time had to be allocated for that. Since women were at home, they took up this task.

As time changed, Washing machine made its way, detergents that fights with the stains came in and women have started sharing the Working load with men. So the washing load is also slowly but steadily being shared by men.

When i told my Dad about the #WashBucketChallenge, he was happy to take it up as he is already sharing the washing load with my mom.  Here is what he had to say :

"The major constrain with washing was the time taken and removing the stains. These where the two reasons why men generally stayed away from washing. But As my wife is also working, it is tough to see her do all the household chores all alone. So i decided on #Laundarysharing. So every time i wash clothes with Ariel and  take out the clean and fresh cloths, the smile on my wife's face is priceless. There is no job like the Men's or women's. #sharetheload with the better half for washing or any-other work to be done!"

Everything is awesome

We are always surrounded by happiness. We can choose happiness out of everything. It is recognizing and appreciating what we have rather than cribbing about what we don't. We can choose to be happy even if things are imperfect. Cos it is I-(A)M-PERFECT !Happiness is basically a conscious choice.Happiness is remembrance and is the only good. Follow your heart, Go ahead and make someone feel special. And what follows is actually MAGIC, there will be tons and tons of happy vibes that will surround you and make you to be on top of the world.

Wiki says "Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy" .
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.-Groucho Marx
My definition: Well happiness is just that thing that makes us say "aaahhh...Thank god" With a smile! It could even be just passing the exam with a grace mark or escaping a detention with just a warning! The feeling that we get after we just escape a punishment or not being caught after we skip a signal is happiness. The secret to be happy is to admire without any ego and jealousy and not to desire. A simple gesture is enough to make others happy. Some of these simple gestures that brings out happiness are:

Happiness is Living life inside out,
Doing things without any doubt
Happiness is Meeting a long lost friend,
discussing about everything from beginning till end,
Happiness is Bringing smile in the faces of those i love,
believing in angels and counting the stars above,
Happiness is Having a fancy new haircut,
office on a weekday when it is shut,
Happiness is striking everything off the bucket-list
without anything being missed.
Happiness is receiving what you ordered online,
and walking in the morning sunshine.

There are so many things to be happy about. When we find that the little petrol in the bike can take us two more kilometer further is happiness, and the pain that we get after a rigorous workout is also a joy. Finding someone from your country in the far unknown land, and having a long drive in the rain is also a delight.

We have the power to extract happiness from everything. Happiness depends on our-self. One small effort taken to be happy will change the whole perspective of how we look at things. It is our attitude that defines happiness and not any external factor. Being content is happy, that does not mean one cannot be ambitious. But wherever we are we just need to be happy and that positivity will act as the ladder to climb up.

The time to be happy is now. The place to be happy is where we are and to grow up the ladder  make others happy.
A table, a chair, a bowl of fruit and a violin; what else does a man need to be happy?-Albert Einstein
